School projects are the core element of Groundswell. In these projects, students are investigating real community issues and working with community partners and their teachers to address them. Students implement place-based service learning to integrate hands on service with critical thinking and in-class learning.

Groundswell strives to maintain strong partnerships with schools. It is important to understand that many school projects are ongoing across semesters and even school years, building on the knowledge accumulated and work completed by previous classes.
